Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку

Всегда интересно узнавать что-то новое о традициях и обычаях другой страны, окунаться в атмосферу праздника. Вот и мы в преддверии Рождества в Англии решили создать свой маленький праздник на уроках иностранного языка.
Подготовка к мероприятию: за 2 недели участникам мероприятия предлагаются темы для презентаций, подготавливаются стенгазеты и украшения для кабинета.

Ведущий 1: Dear friends! We are glad to see you here at our Christmas Party. You know that 25-th of December is a great holiday for many people.
Ведущий 2. On that day such countries as Great Britain, the USA, France, Canada and many others celebrate Christmas. I hope you know why this holiday was named Christmas.

Ведущий 1: Many-many years ago Christ was born. So this was the birthday of Christ. And since that time people began to celebrate his birthday – and named this holiday – Christmas.
Ведущий 2: And as every birthday it became a good, kind, merry and bright family holiday. Not only small children but people of all age wait for this day.  

Ведущий 1: Today at our party we’ll speak about some of the most popular traditions.
Father Frost: Oh, good evening, my dear friends. Do you know who I am? What did I bring you? (показывает на елку). Do you like to decorate it? Do you like this holiday, Christmas?

A small fir seedling growing

Father Frost: Oh, you sing well. But our fir tree is not beautiful yet, let’s decorate it. Do you help me?

Ведущий 2:  People began to prepare for this holiday long before. They think much about holiday dinner, about Christmas table. This is on of the tasty tradition and I am sure some of you prepared interesting material about Christmas table.

Ведущий 1: What holiday without songs. For Christmas there are special ones.  I advise you to listen to different English poems and carols.

Father Frost: Oh, it’s time to move? I think. Let’s dance.
Ведущий 2: If Christmas is a holiday there is no one holiday without greetings. We greet each other with every holiday. We say “Happy Birthday”, “Happy New Year”, “Merry Christmas”. There are many good and kind words to congratulate each other and wish all the best. Christmas cards and greetings is a tradition too.

Ведущий 1.: Thank you for your presentation. And now we propose you to make our common card and write all the greetings you want to your friends, your teachers, your relatives.

На доске прикреплена открытка, нарисованная на ватмане. Гостям предлагается на шаблонах-рисунках елочных игрушек написать поздравления и приклеить их на открытку.Можно предложить примеры поздравлений на английском языке с переводом.

a magic holiday
When candy canes and gingerbread
fill tummies with delight
And little sleepyheads try hard
to stay up through the night.

The twinkling, colored lights on trees
make youngsters' eyes just glow!
Each package and each stocking
is approached with childish joy
And toys bring squeals of laughter
from each eager girl and boy.
Yes, Christmas is for children –
all they say is true.
How wonderful that at Christmas time grownups are children,too!

Ведущий 1: Where? In your stocking? Friends, do you know anything about stocking tradition?

Ведущий 2: Ok, now look at our stockings. There are gifts for you there.
В кабинете развешаны рождественские сапожки с небольшими подарками.
Ведущий 1: Well, our party is over. Did you like our party? Would you like to meet next year?
Ведущий 2: Now let’s sing the hymn of this holiday “Jingle bells”.
Мероприятие заканчивается песней-гимном Рождеству "Рождественские колокольчики"
