Конспект урока английского языка к УМК «Enjoy English» Биболетова М.З. 10 класс. Тема «Ancient schools».

Цели:

1. Усовершенствовать навыки чтения и устной речи;

2. Активизировать лексику по теме «Школьная жизнь».

Наглядность и оборудование: задание на доске «Впиши пропущенные буквы», картинки старинных школ.

-I’m glad to see you, sit down please. Who is on duty today? Who is absent?

 Today we continue studying schools and get to know more about ancient schools and compare them with modern that we have now.

But first let’s remember some words and complete them. These words were taken from your hometask.. Open your exercise books, write down the date. You see the words on the blackboard, rewrite them and fill in the letters.  Are you ready? Who would like to come to the blackboard and do the task? Yes, please.

Have your parents or grandparents ever told you about schools they studied at? Were they alike or different from your schools? Let’s compare.

(Ученики устно по одному называют факты, которые знают о школах 20 века).

Very good. Let’s find some more details. Open your books on p.14, look at the pictures. There are also some pictures on the blackboard. What was the school like 100 years ago? Now I’ll give you 5 minutes to write down the ideas you have told.

Now look at ex.20 p.14. It’s a story about the school from the past. Your task is to read it and point the facts in the table on the left that were mentioned in the text. Glossary will help you to understand better. I’ll give you 5 minutes.

Now look at the ex.21 p.15. Read the sentences which contain the following words from the text. Make up your own sentences with these words.

Guys, were there any schools in the far past? Which ancient schools do you know? Let’s find out about some of them, ex.22 p.15. You are to read the text and fill in the gaps with the right forms of the words from the box.

Look at ex.23 p.15. Know we know a lot about the schools of the past. But it is also interesting what elder members of your family can tell you about their studying. These points will help you to make a plan of your interviewing. Your task for now is to make up the questions using these points and then we’ll listen to them. Are you ready? Who would like to be the first? Yes, please.
