Конспект урока в 11 классе по теме «Театр»
Цель: продолжить знакомство с историей театрального искусства Англии и России.
Задачи:
- развитие мышления, внимания
- практиковать учащихся в говорении и аудировании
- формирование лексических и грамматических навыков говорения
Оборудование: УМК, доска, раздаточный материал, магнитофон
Речевой материал: a stage, to announce, dramatic, admiration, an operetta, a tragedy

Организационный момент
T: Good morning pupils.
P: Good morning teacher.
T: I’m glad to see you. How are you?
T: Today at our lesson we will continue to speak about theatres and plays. Then we will practice reading and audition. We are going to revise some grammar material. This is our plan for today

T: Do you like theatre? Do you agree that theatre is very popular nowadays? Why?

T: Theatre is a place where you can see a play staged. It is also one of entertainments. We are to admit that theatre is not popular now as it used to be. But still there are hundreds of theatres where the audiences are exited at the prospect of seeing a play and the actors are most encouraged by the warm reception. What words come to mind when you pronounce the word “theatre’?

T: Look through the table which is given in your Students book, p.186 ex.1.1. and say which of the things mentioned above are more important in the theatre than in the cinema?

T: What do you think what is the main difference between the theatre and the cinema?

T: What causes more emotions, the theatre or the cinema? Why?

T: Listen to some people who talk about theatrical performances. What performances do these people like or dislike?
P: they listen to the cassette and answer the question. Then the pupils listen to the cassette again and explain why people like or dislike opera, comedies, ballet or operetta. If necessary, pupils read the opinions of the people on p.187.
T: Now tell me what theatrical genre do you like or dislike. Why?

T: Now grammar for revision. Read the information about structure of emphatic sentence on p.187 ex.2.5.Look at the opinions above once more. How do the people show that they really like or dislike theatrical genres?

T: Take your AB, p.80 ex.6. Here is the story about Stevens’s likes and dislikes. Change it to show that he really likes or dislikes something.

T: Well done. Look at the ex.9, p.82 AB. Now we are going to speak about Russian theatres. You know that there are a lot of theatres in Russia but the most famous is the Bolshoi theatre. Do you know the history of the Bolshoi theatre? You task is to put in the missing words in the right form. I will give 2 min.

T: Well done. Thank you for your work. Your home task is to tell your classmates about your last visit to the theatre (10 sentences). The lesson is over. Good-bye.
