Викторина "Мир животных" для 5 класса по английскому языку с презентацией
Автор работы: Долгих Марина Сергеевна, учитель английского языка МОУ “Школа №62 города Донецка”. Описание работы: данный материал предназначен для учеников 5 класса. Викторину о животных можно использовать в рамках творческого проекта для предметной недели английского языка. Материал будет полезен учителям английского языка, а также родителям воспитанников. Цель: развитие лексических навыков по теме “Мир животных”. Задачи:
- активизировать словарь, развивать навыки говорения,чтения,письма,аудирования;
- развивать логическое мышление, языковую догадку, память, внимание, интерес к изучению английского языка;
- воспитывать любовь и бережное отношение к животным. Оборудование: раздаточный материал.

2. Основная часть. ЗАДАНИЕ 1.Конкурс пeceн среди команд. The world is full of animals
Some are big and tall,
Some are strong and dangerous,
Some are cute and small.
All creatures are amazing –
Just like me and you.
Help protect the animals,
This is their world too.
Animals are wonderful,
They’re beautiful too.
Help them live a happy life.
Help them to be free. At the zoo
When I’m at the zoo,
What do you see?
Lot’s of funny animals
Looking at me.
I see a tall giraffe,
Eating from a tree.
I see a monkey,
Laughing at me.
I see a clever dolphin,
Swimming in the sea.
I see a little seal,
Clapping one, two, three!
I see a lazy lizard,
Sitting in the sun.
I see a big whale,
Having lots of fun.
I see a baby hippo,
Learning how to run.
And one crocodile,
Crying on its own! The world of animals

THE FOX AND THE CRANE
A fox and a crane were good friends. One day the fox invited the crane. She made hot porridge for dinner and put it in a flat soup-dish. The crane could not eat and the fox ate the porridge herself. The crane was angry and decided to teach the fox a lesson.
So he invited the fox too. The fox went to the crane’s house the next day. The crane poured vegetable soup into a narrow jug and invited the fox to eat it. The fox tried and tried, but she couldn’t find a way to get into the jug. The crane ate all the soup himself. And this is why the fox and the crane are no longer friends. Test

DAVID’S PET
“Watch my sledge, Toby,” said David, “ I’ll come back soon.” Toby sat down on the snow near the sledge.
“ You may go, David, nobody will take it until you come back”, barked Toby.
The boy ran down the hill to the town. Toby didn’t move from his place. He sat and sat until the sun went down and the north wind began to blow. But Toby didn't move from his place. When the night came he stayed at his place. Where was David? Why didn’t he come back? David met a friend who asked him to go to the cinema. They went to the cinema together. Then they began to play chess, and David didn’t think about poor Toby. Next morning when David got up he remembered about his dog.
“Poor, poor Toby,” he cried when he jumped out of his bed. “If he is frozen I’ll be very unhappy.”
He dressed very quickly and ran up the hill. David ran faster and faster. He thought about his poor dog. At last he saw his little dog. Toby saw him too. He wanted to stand up to meet him, but his legs were so frozen that he could not stand up. Then David took Toby, put him in the sledge and ran home. At home Toby had a good breakfast and a long sleep in David’s bed.
“Poor Toby!” said David and kissed his nose. “I‘ll never do that again!” Test

ЗАДАНИЕ 5. Разгадай головоломку.
Школьники, работая в группах, разгадывают головоломку, записывают названия животных. Дополнительные баллы получают за составление предложений. Group 1: a monkey. You can see a lot of monkeys in the zoo. Group 2: an elephant. Elephants eat a lot of food every day.
ЗАДАНИЕ 6. Угадай животное! Аудирование.
Капитаны команд слушают тексты о животных, на слух должны определить их название. Тексты читают ученики из разных команд.
1. They are fast animals. They are black and yellow. They have a long tail. They look like big cats. They can run fast and they can climb. They eat meat.
2. They are very clever animals. They’ve got big ears and a long tail. They can climb trees and they can jump. They eat bananas but they don’t eat meat.
3. They are clever animals too. They have got a big mouth and a big tail. They can swim and they can jump. They eat fish.
4. They look like horses. They’ve got a black and white body, a long tail. They can run fast.
5. This bird likes fruit and nuts. It cannot read and write. It can talk. This bird can be a pet in your house.
6. We think they are rather nice.
Their tails are long,
Their faces are small,
They haven’t got any chins at all.
Their ears are pink,
Their teeth are white.
They run about
The house at night.
They like cheese.
We think they are rather nice.
7.It has got lots of wool.
There are three bags
Which are full.
One for my master,
